Summer On The Mount: Mt. 5:21-26 | No Place for Anger
After his explosive statement in his introduction to the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gives six directives about how Kingdom people ought to live in order for their righteousness to surpass the Pharisees. The first directive moves beyond the action of murder to hone in on the heart behind the actions instead. Jesus raises the bar and turns the mirror back on us, inviting us to consider the ways we fall short. Not only that, but he gives us some practical, yet not easy, solutions to pursue.
