Life of Christ (Matthew 9:19-26) | Jairus’ Daughter and the Bleeding Woman 03/29/2026
Lese-majeste is a severe offense, often treated as a form of treason or sedition. While the term functions as an umbrella term for many different things that could be considered an affront to a king, one of the things it includes is interrupting. The punishment for committing “lese-majeste” was death. On Palm Sunday, we will look at a story of two women, and three interruptions, to see the surprisingly different way that our king rules. Rather than punishing his interruptions with death, he rewards them with life. Will you have the audacity to interrupt your King?
