Good Ghosts of the Past | Past, Present, Future (Part 1) (Jim Shelburne)

oday we spend some time looking back, which is really more about looking forward than we typically realize. As WACC nears a milestone—75 years as a church—it is important for us to note how we got here and even remember some of the “good ghosts” (wonderful witnesses now long (or recently) dead) who helped WACC get off to a great start. Any church that makes it to 75 years has allowed itself to be “reborn” already once or twice. Any church that hopes to make it to 100 years cannot forget the past, but maybe even more importantly, cannot forget that with God’s help we are contributing to that “past” by the choices we are making in the present.
