Kids

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..." Matthew 19:14

At WACC our kids (infant through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way. We would love to see you and your family visit WACC Kids!

Your First Visit

Here's what to expect when visiting WACCKids for the first time:
First, find the area marked check in. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children.
Before Service: You can check your child in at any available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will do this through text messaging. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag, and then your child to be released back to you.

Meet The Leaders

Jennifer Lyles

Preschool Director

Billy Kersh

Children's Pastor

Billy Kersh and Jennifer Lyles have a combined 30 years in children’s ministry. We believe that the greatest joys of this job are: witnessing little ones give their hearts to Jesus, hearing a child pray, listening to children worship, watching the kids’ faces light up when they walk through the church doors and doing life with the staff and volunteers.

At WACC we see our ministry to your children as a partnership. The Bible tells us that discipleship is supposed to happen in community. We come alongside you because, regardless of how effective we are in ministering to your child, we realize that we won’t be ultimately effective until we are all on the same page, working toward the same goal. We desire to make our limited time with your children as effective and impactful as possible.

While we have a ministry for students and a ministry for children, ultimately these are really just ministries for families. We want stronger families, filled with Christ-followers of all ages and generations; to accomplish that we have to work together.

Let us know how we can help you. We’re passionate about working with your children. Tell us what you need…because ultimately we are here to serve you!
